General information

 

The capital of the Indian state Mizoram is Aizawl. The state is located in the border of Burma in the North Eastern part of India. This state as well has entry restrictions. Mizos, the ethnic group of the region, constitute majority of the population. Mizoram is a forest reserve area. 30% of these forests are covered with bamboo forests. Other major areas of production are poultry, fishery and the land is rich in minerals as well. So Mizoram supplies 40% of the nation’s annual bamboo crop. Mizoram’s literacy rate is also comparatively high (88.8%) and ranks second in the country after Kerala. The region is also a tourist spot that drives in tourists every year. A number of cozy resorts and hotels are also available to entertain the tourists.
