Karnataka is situated in the Southern part of India. The state is the 8th largest state by area and holds 9th rank by population. The official language of the state is Kannada. Bangalore is the capital of the state that has a population of more than 6 millions. The Bangalore city is one of the most famous cities in India as it contributes 35% of the total software exports from India. Other strong industries of the state are tourism, sandalwood export and gold production. Well planned cities and the climate are the base reasons for attracting the tourists thereby generating good revenue to the state.
